In this video we do the final profiling of the Curved, Twisted Railing. This rail has two rake change easements built into the rail as it winds up a hair-pin 180 degree turning staircase. The run in the stair starts out at a 10.5" run (about a 30 degree rake), to a 7" run at the turn in the stair(about a 46 degree rake) and back to a 10.5" run as the stair straightens out again. By building the rake changes (easements) into the rail we eliminate the need for clunky fittings that make the rail look like it has kinks in it thus allowing for a smooth transition from one rake angle to the next.
