What is the best KaiOS jailbreak app on KaiOS? Is OmniSD still a valid app for this? Is "privileged factory reset" still the best solution to get the developer menu in 2020? Just know both apps.

The developer is the same for both: Luxferre, from Ukraine.
OmniSD has undoubtedly been a great success in the past two years, especially in India, where it allowed the installation of hundreds of new apps outside the Jio Store. In the rest of the world it is mostly used on Qualcomm devices to perform the "privileged factory reset" which allows you to get the Developer menu within the Settings app.

But is resetting the device still the most obvious solution?

Luxferre has recently implemented new features in its apps, providing much more effective universal root privileges and jailbreak methods, such as "cache injection", which consists of inserting a file into the "cache" partition.
CACHE INJECTION - https://ivan-hc.github.io/bananahacke...
This process requires a computer to made the jailbreak on Mediatek devices, which by default have no codes that can help install apps using ADB and WebIDE, unlike KaiOS devices based on Qualcomm and Spreadtrum.
But there is an application, Wallace Toolbox, which brings with it all the experience of Luxferre of these two years of research on KaiOS devices!

Usually in OmniSD just press # to perform the "privileged factory reset", but it is still a two year old method.

What about Wallace Toolbox?

In it, just press #, as on OmniSD, but you will be asked to restart the device, whatever the chipset is. At first start it will appear that nothing has happened and that your phone is just like you left it. But to be sure you have to check in the Settings app, and see if you can't find something new!

Already! Wallace Toolbox, since version 0.0.5 has implemented the "cache injection" method! The Developer menu will appear without having to reset your phone! Just try it to believe! ;)

Linux distros are the best for those who want to join KaiOS development.

KaiOS is a new operating system for ARM chipsets, running on a Linux kernel. It is written in Javascript, HTML and CSS and is oriented towards smart feature phones. In fact, it works well on 512 MiB of RAM or less. Some of the most popular KaiOS phones are the Nokia 8110 4G, 2720 Flip and 800 Tough, Jio Phone, Positivo P70S, Orange Sanza and other new Energizer phones.
Kaiostech recently partnered with Mozilla, the creator of Firefox OS and the Gecko engine on which KaiOS is based.
Developing it is an opportunity for those who want a more open source alternative to Android and iOS in the mobile market. Do you want to know more about KaiOS phones? Here is a complete list for developers: https://ivan-hc.github.io/bananahacke...
