#31 Ziad Zakharia - Empowering Troubled Youth to Lead with Passion & Purpose
In Episode 31 of The Steak Lad Experience, I sat down with the principal of the Frank Dando Sports Academy, Ziad Zakharia.
Ziad started working at the Academy in 2001, a Melbourne-based school focusing on educating bright boys aged between 11 to 17 who face challenges in traditional academic settings.
Our conversation got incredibly deep at times as we explored his sense of purpose and the driving force behind his dedication & work.
We also spoke about what a day in the life looks like for a someone at the school, the importance he places on how his students treat females, an emotional memory from a school camp and the impact it had on his son, why he teaches his students martial arts and much more.
Ziad's exceptional leadership qualities were evident throughout our conversation and with the school currently going through an extensive renovation, I am excited to watch him continue to enhance the lives of current/future students of the school.
