MAKE YOUR OWN SOUND ABSORBER / 3D Parametric Design / Paragami TemplatesHere’s an idea for creating DIY 3D-printed sound-absorbing art! This is just a prototype, and I made a few mistakes along the way, so be sure to watch until the end to avoid them yourself! For this project, I designed a new template inspired by sea corals. The organic shapes and ellipses should pair beautifully with the foam bubbles we’ll add later.

Yes, this upgrade works with previous designs. Since the templates were originally made for paper folding, they have flat sides, so you can turn them into sound absorbers. This works especially well with the designs that use truncated blocks. I’ll show you how to do it in the next video!
