Carnival Venezia Destination Elevators. On the brand new Vista class Carnival Venezia the elevators are a little different, you select your floor BEFORE getting on the elevator! Additionally the elevator is smart enough to apportion space based on how many people have requested the elevator so if there are multiple people in your party you need to request the elevator separately for each person or your elevator may not have enough space. Once you have selected the floor you wish to travel to the elevator will assign you to a specific elevator, each elevator has a different letter designation. When you are assigned an elevator it will verbally announce the elevator letter and display the letter on the input screen, it will also have a triangle to show you where the elevator is in relation to the screen - either left or right of the screen or alternatively if the elevator is on the other side of the elevator lobby a triangle will appear at the bottom.
We've seen these destination dispatch elevators in hotels and on a couple other cruise ships like the Carnival Panorama but guests still seem quite confused by them so hopefully this video will show you how to properly use the elevators on the Carnival Venezia.
