Carnival Venezia Secret Deck Full Walk Around. The hidden areas on decks 5, 6, and 7 are easy to find on the brand new Carnival Venezia! Just take the elevator or stairs to Deck 7 and walk forward. Don't worry if you don't have a cabin on Deck 7, just act like you own the place and it will be fine. Follow the corridor as far forward as you can, it doesn't matter if you're port or starboard, and look for the door on the side with a porthole window on it. Go through a double set of doors and you're out on the hidden deck. The Carnival Venezia is a Vista class cruise ship and one of the hallmarks of the Vista class are substantial hidden decks across 3 seperate decks at the front of the ship. So whether the crowds and constant noise and music has gotten to be a bit too much, you want a little romantic alone time with your sweetie, or you just want some lovely mostly unubstructed views the secret decks at the front of the Carnival Venezia could be just the thing, and they don't cost you anything extra! I always spend some time on every cruise I take on the hidden decks, they're especially great at night for stargazing as there isn't much light in that part of the ship because on the Venezia the hidden decks are just below the bridge and the bridge crew need to maintain their night vision. A the frontmost part of the secret decks on deck 5 if you look down you can see the crew relaxation area including their hot tub, although when this video was filmed the hot tub was unoccupied and drained. This might be another reason these decks don't appear on maps and are generally secret, not just because they close during high winds, but they also give you a glimpse into the crew's private off-duty time.
