I Replaced the rear brake pads on my daughter’s 2006 Honda Accord!
Replacing rear brake pads on a 2006-2009 six cylinder Honda Accord. I had to use a makeshift tool to turn and compress the brake caliper piston and I did not use any grease. I actually asked the sales associate at the auto store about the grease or lubricants and his answer was “ I do these all the time without it”. Maybe not the best advice but basically reassuring a guy who never uses grease that it’s ok was all I needed to hear. At least the clips are new and maybe they are slick enough to suffice. Yes, the rotor probably needs to be replaced also but for this vehicle at this point, getting the pads on was a must. It all worked out just fine. For now.
