The Crafty Micro Popper is named for its craft fur tail and small size. My favorite thing about this fly is that it is small enough to cast with a 3wt rod but moves enough water to attract medium and sometimes even large (2lbs +) fish. The original inspiration for this pattern is partly from the Red Fish Slider and some of the more popular shrimp imitations I have seen for saltwater flies. I tie another fly called the Crafty Slider, but it has either bead chain or dumbbell eyes instead of a foam head, and it is considerably larger.
