Fishing the Chickahominy River today and the pattern could not have been more dialed… cypress trees = bass. If a tree had shade and water on it — there was a fish on it. Simple as that.
I rotated between a chatterbait and a squarebill crankbait, targeting isolated cypress trees, shade pockets, and those little “do nothing” trees that everyone runs right past.
If you like shallow power fishing, wood targets, and triggering aggressive tidal bass — you're gonna love this one.
