Raspberry Jam with Orange. Raspberry Jam Recipe
Today we'll be making raspberry and orange jam for the winter. Traditional raspberry jam for the winter is undoubtedly delicious, and the recipe never fails.
Ingredients:
Raspberries – 1 kg
Sugar – 800 g
Orange – 1 pc.
Select firm and ripe raspberries for preserving. Sort through the berries, removing any spoiled fruit, stems, and small debris. If you're using your own raspberries and you know they haven't been treated in any way, you don't need to wash them. However, if you're using store-bought ones, it's best to rinse them gently with cold water.
Wash the oranges thoroughly. Then cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice. It's easiest to do this with a hand juicer.
Transfer the raspberries to the saucepan in which you'll be making the jam. Sprinkle the raspberries with sugar and add the orange juice. Cover the saucepan with a lid and set over low heat. Bring to a boil and skim off any foam.
After boiling, simmer the jam over low heat for 20 minutes, skimming off any foam periodically.
Then, pour the jam into pre-sterilized jars, filling them to the very top. Cover the jars with boiled lids and seal tightly.
Let the jars of raspberry-orange jam cool to room temperature. You can store the jars at room temperature.
That's it, our raspberry-orange jam for the winter is ready!
