What is a social movement? Is it a political action, an organization, or an ideological identity? It can be either of these things, none of these things, all of these things and/or more. A social movement is a very complex, interrelated, material and immaterial set of resistance actions by multiple individuals. The overly simplistic popular discourse on social movements today does not capture the complex reality they play in our world. Let's discuss.
