I have 2 Orecks at my house and wanted a small canister vacuum for my second home. In spite of the fact that there was only one review and it was 1/5 I purchased this unit and am happy. The flexible tube is 24 inches long and extends to 32 inches and the extension tube is 19 inches but extends to 30 inches so that's a full 5 feet of reach, and the unit is hanging from your shoulder at waist height. In case you don't figure it out there is a button on the tube to allow the extension to open to full-length. I'm over 6 feet tall and can use the crevice tool on the floor with no problems and without leaning over. It would be nice if it had come with a few replacement bags but not a deal breaker

I've had one of these vacs for a few years. I use to keep my work sites clean when I'm doing final finishing on remodel projects. It's a lot handier than a shop vacuum and it is surprisingly powerful. I use it for cleaning up tile work, finish sanding, light routing, and a bunch of other jobs that don't call for my 14 gallon, 5.5 horsepower shop vacuum.
Even though it gets tossed around like the rest of our power tools, it's still in good shape and doing what we need. If we do manage to break this one, we'll buy another.

In short, WELL PLEASED. I found unit to be of high quality, well designed, and incredible in it's cleaning. I am extremely satisfied with job it did on hardwoods floors, oriental rugs, cleaning upholstered furniture, and sucking the dust off of furniture. As I have a lot of Victorian furniture, with lots of nooks and crannies, molding, carving,etc . . . lots of places for dust to accumulate, I was pleasantly surprised at the great job this unit did in cleaning all af these hard to get to places. Unit has A LOT of suction.. While cleaning isn't my idea of fun, this unit makes the job considerably easier. Would not be without it.
