Aside from learning in required courses such as those that are foundational or practice immersions, being able to choose electives is another unique opportunity to explore and grow as a future clinician. During my final semester of classes, I took OT 574: Enhancing Motor Control for Occupation. I got to participate immersive learning of different topics and interventions (like serial casting or robotics) as well as shadow an OT during patient sessions throughout the semester, all of which was at an actual rehabilitation hospital! Come along with me and my classmates as we engage in one of my favorite electives I've been able to take while at USC Chan!
