The open-source Blender software is very useful to architects for visualization. At a territorial scale, the BlenderGIS add-on can be used to import data such as shapefiles traditionally intended for cartography software such as QGIS. This type of files embeds both geometry and all kinds of metadata. Thanks to BlenderGIS, we can visualize this in 3D by extruding geometries from a data field when importing them into Blender.
