It's not often that a true freshman quarterback is named a starter in Division I football. But when now-junior quarterback Scott Riddle was named the starter of the Phoenix team at the start of the 2007 season, a new phase of Elon football began.
"I heard he was cocky to be honest with you," senior wide receiver Terrell Hudgins said. "But you have to give everyone a chance. Don't read the book by its cover. After talking with him and watching him, he's become one of my best friends."
