Equipped with a new 24.2-megapixel sensor, the Panasonic Lumix S5 II offers phase-detection autofocus. It uses a new hybrid phase-detection autofocus system that combines PDAF and contrast-detection AF. Fast and reliable, with 779 focus points, the S5 II is capable of detecting subjects in challenging conditions such as low light and backlighting. This hybrid camera is also particularly effective at tracking subjects (even when locked on, even if other moving objects are in the frame), as well as for on-camera presentations. It also features a significantly improved image stabilization system, especially suited to handheld shooting, and dual image stabilization.
