On June 17, 1992 the Philadelphia 76ers traded Charles Barkley to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Jeff Hornacek, Tim Perry, and Andrew Lang. A year later, Barkley was the league's MVP, averaging 25.6 points and 12.2 rebounds, leading the Suns to 62 wins and a berth in the 1993 NBA Finals. He also dunked. A lot. Hard.
