In this video, you will come to know how to georeference a map using online base map in ArcMAP.
Steps to follow:
1. See that proper internet connection is existing.
2. Open ArcMAP and Add base map and select topographic map.
3. Identify study area in base map.
4. Add unreferenced map (jgp file) to ArcMAP.
5. Identify the control points or reference points on both base map as well on unreferenced map.
6. Go to georeferencing tool and make fit to map. (JGP may match with base map details).
7. Identify the control points and click add control point.
8. To place a control point, need to click twice (one on map & second on base map).
9. Create max. control points to cover all the corners of the map.
10. Go to georeference and rectify - Save output file.
11. Now map is referenced using base map.
