The Motion Stills application from Google: now comes to Android.
Last year, Google launched an iOS app to capture and smooth out Apple's Live Photos, called Motion Stills. At the time and seemingly since then, many Android fans have been wondering when it would come to Android. The answer to that is now. The new app is available in the Play Store for most Android 5.1 and above devices starting today. What are fixed motion pictures For those of you familiar with the ability of the Pixel camera to smooth motion in video is the same, but for animated gifs video. Google Research has created the app as a standalone experience outside the Google Camera or Google Photos app and instead provides an additional application for the sole purpose of creating and sharing gifs videos. As this is a Google Research experiment, they say that these features may one day be found in one of Google's other image-centric offerings.
Stills motion allows you to do two things, create animated gif video from a fixed length, or create a fast forward clip. What is Fast Forward A time-shifting loop of a longer video stream. With the change of time you can record a video and then choose to accelerate 2x, 4x or 8x and then convert and share. Check out an 8x time shit clip below.
