Finale! | Kao the Kangaroo: Round 2 | Part 8 (Final)
Welcome to my playthrough of Kao the Kangaroo: Round 2! I am playing the Steam version, but the game was also released on the Playstation 2, Xbox, and Nintendo Gamecube. It is the sequel to Kao the Kangaroo, originally released on the PC and Dreamcast. There is also a third game in the series, Kao 3: Mystery of the Volcano, which was never released in the US.
Kao is a 3D platformer series with collectathon elements, developed by Tate Interactive. While it initially did not receive favorable reviews, it now has a bit of a cult following. It was recently announced that franchise will receive a revival of some sorts, though it is not yet clear whether this will be a new game, remake, or something else entirely.
3D platformers are one of my favorite genre of video games, and collectathons are one of my favorite subgenres. I've played many of the all-time greats, like Mario, Banjo-Kazooie, Jak and Daxter, and Spyro. So, how does this one hold up? Let's find out!
