Avram Gonzales: In 2018, both Rachel and I arrived in New Mexico, not knowing each other, but also not knowing very many people. And that's the reason that we're doing this podcast today, as you can tell from the title, this is about building a local support network through BNI. What's BNI? Rachel?
Rachel Gonzales: Business Networking International. It's a networking group that we're a part of.
Avram Gonzales: Yeah. And, and today we wanna share with you five stories of different ways that BNI has helped us build our local support network. I think when people join BNI, they typically think about the referrals and the business that they're going to get by being a part of a referral networking group. But what we have found after being members for nearly six years is there's a whole lot more available and the ability to build a really fabulous support network for you.
Your family and your business.
Rachel Gonzales: Absolutely. No, I look at the people that are currently in our support group and I'd say a vast majority of who is in our corner, are from BNI or from connections through BNI. So it's pretty fabulous to see this.
Avram Gonzales: It is. And for me coming from a background where everything was internet marketing and the people that I met, I would maybe see once a quarter, a couple of times a year to building an agency here in our backyard. We do serve clients nationally, but most of them are here.
Rachel Gonzales: Yeah,
Avram Gonzales: I found that it's pretty isolating sometimes as an entrepreneur if you're not out and about and BNI has really helped me connect better with the entrepreneurs that are right here in our backyard and these great friends that we've that we've got we're going to Talk about here today and some other things too.
Rachel Gonzales: absolutely. I'm really excited to go over this because, Wow, there are so many things that have come about over the past, like you said, about six years.
Avram Gonzales: So we'll take you back I mentioned we had got five stories here And then we also have a huge number of shout outs at the end of this episode local services and folks we've met through BNI that uh, you know we
