Neuschwanstein Castle is a magnificent castle perched atop a green hilltop overlooking the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria. Neuschwanstein Castle which is also called Schloss Neuschwanstein is located above the village of Hohenschwangau, near the city of Fussen, Southeast Bavaria province, Germany. This castle was built by order of the Bavarian king Ludwig II on September 5, 1869 with the aim of being a place of exile, so the castle was deliberately built away from residential areas. In addition, the construction of this castle was also intended as a form of respect for the idol of the Bavarian king Ludwig II, a famous composer named Richard Wagner. In 1886, the castle was opened to the public. According to Neuschwanstein's official website, every year at least 1.4 million people visit it. Even in summer, visitors can reach 6,000 people each day. This Neuschwanstein Castle turned out to be what inspired Walt Disney to create the Disneyland logo and Disneyland castle in the film Sleeping Beauty. Not only is the castle building beautiful, but the location of Neuschwanstein is also like a fairy tale. Because it is located in the Alps to be precise on a hill, from this castle we can see the lake, village and forest around the castle.
