Next Destination: The Bern Region of Switzerland, Mürren, Jungfraujoch and Interlaken
A new NEXT DESTINATION is here! 🎉🎉🎉 I swear every time I go to a new region of Switzerland 🇨🇭 I say, this region has absolutely everything you could possibly love about Switzerland... but it’s true! Especially in the Bern region that covers off Mürren, Jungfraujoch, and Interlaken—the incredibly perfect mix of mountains and lakes and glaciers.Some highlights!
⛰️ MURREN... easily one of my favourite spots in the country, this car-free village has incredible views of the Jungfrau Mountain, adorable little streets, a cozy family-run hotel @hoteleigermurren and the famous Piz Gloria @schilthorn_pizgloria atop the Schilthorn Mountain. This is where a James Bond movie was filmed and ordering a gin martini in the rotating restaurant at the peak is a must. Murren is also where I met the ever-inspiring @bel_on_trails —a local whose adoration of the mountains and Switzerland is infectious—follow her on IG for beautiful mountain views and trail running inspo.
🚂 JUNGFRAUJOCH... the highest train station in all of Europe is epic in every way—from how you get to the top to the insane views of the Aletsch Glacier. You’ll feel like you’re on top of the world (and literally on the top of Europe!). @jungfraujochtopofeurope
🚣♂️ INTERLAKEN... bringing myself down from those mountain highs in Interlaken was the perfect spot to appreciate it all. I loved this touristy little city with perfect lakes (try kayaking with @hightidekayak) and staying at the iconic and incomparable @victoriajungfrau hotel (book a balcony room to watch paragliders land in a field).
