Iron Maiden - Flight Of Icarus Drum Cover
This if one of the very first Iron Maiden songs I heard way back in the day and one of my favorites for sure. Some of Bruce Dickinsons best singing is in this song (in my opinion) and I love the vocal harmonies in the choruses. Nicko McBrains drumming is perfect for the song and such a unique creative choice to stay on the floor tom for pretty much the whole song and not come in with the ride until the very end. The entire Piece of Mind album is amazing.

'Flight Of Icarus' is very loosely based on the ancient Greek myth of Daedalus who was imprisoned by king Minos of Crete. He and his son Icarus fashioned wings from feathers and wax and made their escape, but Icarus flew too near the sun, melting the wax that held the feathers, and he fell to his death in the sea.
