I took part in Ludum Dare last weekend, the 3rd LD I've attempted, this time (for the first time) I was successful in producing a game, from start to finish, in 48 hours - not easy!
Obviously this video shows everything in the game, and how it was all put together, so if you want to download and play the game before seeing any potential spoilers, check out the page here- http://tiny.cc/9pwbdw
(Windows is the only available option at this stage)
On the download page you will find a more detailed description and details, along with download links including the game (normal and optimized version for slower computers) + the source code and assets for the entire project are also available. You can also view games others have made on the Ludum Dare site, and rate games (voting goes for 20 days since the LD ended)
This timelapse was made from almost 8Gb of screencapture data I recorded from my main 'working' screen during this time (I had a 2nd monitor off to the side to work on as well, which wasnt captured to keep things simple) - Also watch out for the 2 frustrating power blackouts that happened on both nights - Gaah!
Songs are from a selection which I listened to during the Ludum Dare, listed in order:
Pendulum - Streamline
RamesesB - Hide and Seek 128 MASTER
Deadmau5 - Raise your Weapon (Madeon Extended Remix)
RamesesB - Game of Thrones
