Crescent Rose
It has been a while since I made a RWBY weapon animation and I wanted to get back on track, but I also wanted to see how much my skills have improved since I started making them. So I decided to remake one of my favorite weapons and gave it a little bit of a worn out look to it--a bit more battle damage that it had from the beginning of Season 4. I really liked how it came out :D
On a side note, I was originally only going to do the transformation, but then I looked at all I ended up doing for the original video that I put up 5 years ago (so long ago), and I needed to at least have it shoot a bit. While adding that part of the animation, I also ended up upgrading the texture so it had some battle damage. I also learned how to do flashes and smoke in After Effects cause I didn't like how any of the flashes and blasts in Maya--like I did before--looked. In short, due to that (and a bit of laziness) I added a whole extra week of work. But at the end of the day, it was worth it and I had fun.
