Bus travel is not designed to encourage use, as we can see in this noisy trafficy and smoggy scene.
But oil companies are moving to distance themselves from mechanical work and smog checks; there's more money in mini-marts, but more importantly, they want you to associate "clean" oil with edible food, so you fill up your car with clean gas that comes "from heaven", no mention of grease, oil spills, toxic waste, oil wars, pollution; and fill up your body with "fuel", food from their mini-mart.
It's just good business to hide the downside of oil; to this day, many critics of EVs (and solar power) are gulled, thinking that electric is "dirty" coal but oil is "clean", just springs from the pump like magic!!
