Audi S8 (D2) – The car that made Audi cool
Today, I’m going to tell you the story of a car that was a good and highly-capable competitor of BMW 7-series and Mercedes Benz W140 – Audi S8.
This was a performance version of a revolutionary Audi A8 – the car that brought Audi (and Volkswagen Group) a place at the table of “big boys” in the world of luxury executive sedans.
This was the first mass-production large performance sedan with a body fully made of aluminum.
This car could make you the fastest one on a curvy winter road and make you feel at a high-end luxury resort at the same time.
It was a very comfortable and friendly to drivers car with many luxury options and it was bloody fast even by today’s standards.
I was an inch close to buying one for myself ones but it didn’t happen, unfortunately.
P.S. I hope you’ve got a joke about a mythical BMW M7, a car that was wanted by customers for decades but never was built (yet). :)
