How to prevent Organizational Drag
Conflict and tension and bad feelings cause organizational drag. What is organizational drag? Well, it's spending more time and life energy and mental processes in trying to navigate the situations.
And that means not getting other critical things done, or the things have to get back burnered, or they're delayed too much, or quite frankly, that people just disengage and they stop putting in the effort because it's just - why bother or I'm not mentally up for it today.
So, sometimes you can frame the need for conflict resolution, saying it's creating too much organizational drag. People get what you mean. And it might be a good call to bring in someone to help alleviate the organizational drag.
