And what we'll see is that in Atlanta, his game is more refined. He's practically finished with off-screens and setting screens; his role is now more one-dimensional. He's asked to run in transition, take three-pointers or jumpers, and play defense.
But he's still managing to perform on the offensive boards and on fast breaks despite a higher level of athleticism than in France. He has a real defensive impact, he's become more solid, and above all, his shooting percentages are much better.
He's averaging 12 points per game this year, shooting 44% from the field and 35% from three-point range, which is good, but he's recently shown us that he can do much better as he adjusts to the league. He shot only 23% in October, but 44% in February. Very encouraging, let's hope it continues like this!
And what's more, he's developed his skills; he's capable of some impressive dribbling, and his finishing and contact management are exceptional for a young player his age. In short, it's all very encouraging. I can't wait to see how he develops... even if it's as early as this summer at EuroBasket!
