I had successful season selling off many of my Blue Spruces as Christmas trees this year. As in years' past, I had a healthy demand for larger-than-normal trees. There are many customers that want a real tall tree (or should I say a tall, real tree) while others like short, stout trees 5-6 feet tall and 5-6 feet in diameter at the same time.
I run a low budget tree farm with no dancing elves, or hay rides, or other extras, and no fancy equipment meaning no large power baler. Customers are made aware beforehand that if they select an abnormally large tree that it is possible they will need to take it home as-is and not baled. That doesn't seem to bother any of them as it is worth it as most other tree farms do not offer trees taller than 8 feet, and if they do the prices are north of $250.
The video contains video and photos of some of the large trees I sold this year, how they are transported, and even some photos of them in their new homes and decorated.
