How to protect garden strawberries from gray rot
Gray rot is the most harmful disease of garden strawberries, which can cause up to 80% of crop losses. It develops in conditions of high humidity and insufficient air access. At the same time, gray rot affects not only ripe berries, but can also appear on still green strawberries.
To protect strawberries from this dangerous disease, we use the drug Switch from Syngenta. We recommend that the first treatment be carried out before the flowers bloom, because it is easier to prevent the disease than to treat it. The second treatment should be carried out at the beginning of the ripening of the berries, when they acquire a milky color, and the third - after harvesting.
The rates of use of the drug Switch: 10 g per 5 liters of water. The waiting period is only 7 days.
We also recommend adding the drug Izabion with each treatment. This is a natural stimulant and anti-stress agent, which during adverse weather conditions will help strawberries overcome stress and improve the quality of the berries.
