In this video, we will learn how to manipulate string data in Excel by joining and separating text. This tutorial covers combining columns with CONCATENATE and the ampersand operator, splitting text apart with TEXTBEFORE and TEXTAFTER (including their optional arguments), and extracting fixed-length segments with LEFT and MID. The examples range from merging first and last names to separating an email address into its numeric and letter components and reconstituting it.
