Djânam, Djânam ...
Graceful walker, O breath
Of breaths, do not go without me.
You who are the life of friends,
Do not go to the garden without me.
O sky, do not turn without me;
O moon, do not shine without me;
O earth, do not grow without me;
O time, do not go without me.
Gentle with you, this world;
Gentle with you, that world.
Do not last without me, this world.
That world, do not go without me.

Marcheur gracieux, ô toi le souffle
Du souffle, ne va pas sans moi.
Toi qui es la vie des amis,
Au jardin ne va pas sans moi.
Ô ciel, sans moi ne tourne pas,
Lune. sans moi ne brille pas,
Terre, sans moi ne grandis pas,
Ô toi temps, ne va pas sans moi.
Doux avec toi, ce monde-ci,
Doux avec toi, ce monde-là.
Ne dure sans moi, monde-ci.
Monde-là, ne va pas sans moi.
