What makes Hunter x Hunter a show that I keep on watching is the endearing characters and intriguing stories. Hunter x Hunter follows Gon Freecs in his attempt to find his father Ging. But along the way Gon runs into friends and enemies that make the show sparkle even brighter.
And there is no doubt that everyone has different favourite characters, mine being Gon himself. However there is an argument to be said that the most fascinating character is that of Meruem from the Chimera Ant arc.
A character that was born into the world as a King but fights over what he truly is. Meruem is Hunter X Hunters more intriguing character because he asks human questions such as what our purpose is? And why are we on this planet? And these questions sit on his mind because of an unexpected connection with a Gungi player named Komugi.
