Turkish ship support
This is a video of my ship being tasked by the U.S Navy to go and assist a Turkish ship that has sent out a distress call for help. When we got near the ship we found out it has been floating here close to the horn of Africa drifting toward Somalia for 11 days and they ran out of food and water for a while before we got there. This video is our second water delivery to their ship in very rough ocean condition. We found out that there were 10 Turkish and 4 Somalia men on the ship and because there were 4 Somalia men on the ship we wanted to take extra precaution and we brought a couple of our Navy security personal with us as backup.
We spent 3 days delivering water and food to them. This is my first video of our first day assisting them and I will post another video of our 3ed day giving them water and food and then we also decided to board there ship to try and help fix there engine and getting it running again before they get to close to Somalia. We put 3 Navy security personal on the ship to clear the ship and make sure it is safe for our engineers to go on and try and fix it. That will be my next video.
