It's been a couple of months since I talked about the live service model in video games, and how a slew of game shutdowns and a lack of player interest has resulted in a growing view that the live service model was too oversaturated for developers and publishers to pursue. Most people don't want these games, clearly. The unprecedented cancellation of Sega's big live service game has definitely given the impression that the live service bubble may have already burst....
