The video game industry, particularly the triple A part of the industry, has developed a habit of issuing corporate apology posts and letters saying sorry for shipping broken ports and games on release, and it's been a trend that has left people looking fed up of the constant apologies for less than polished games. Why is this practice still being overdone in 2023, with the releases of poor PC ports and awful games like Redfall and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum?
