[Spring tradition] Revenge! A quick trip to Toyama to catch firefly squid
Across Japan! A two-person trip with my dog in a mobile doghouse!
Last year, I suffered a crushing defeat at Toyama's spring tradition, "firefly squid scooping."
This year, I went back for revenge.
For firefly squid scooping, the conditions must be just right: new moon, calm waves, no rain, and the right location!
Finding a suitable day for firefly squid scooping is quite difficult; it's almost entirely a battle of information (lol).
This time, meeting fellow squid scoopers I met at Joshuya was a lucky break! 🙏
