Today we are demoing some Istanbul Agop Signature series cymbals and a really cool Club Jam kit from Tama. The Istanbul Agop Signature series are a great if you are looking for that thin, dark and complex Turkish made cymbal sound. They blend in very well together and really add a nice wash underneath anything whether loud or soft. They speak out when you crash them and they have a fairly quick decay. These are very versatile cymbals and would sound great in many musical settings.
The Tama Club Jam kit is a great set up if you are looking to fit a full drum set into a smaller space, or you just need a smaller kit that is easier to transport than a full size drum set. It also takes some inspiration from vintage kits adding gull wing bas drum spurs and a bass mounted ride cymbal arm. The shells are a hybrid Pheonix wood/Poplar mix. It really surprised us how playing this kit felt like playing a normal sized drum set. We even got a really nice sound out of these smaller drums at lower tuning. This is also a great kit for playing in places were volume might be an issue.
