To play the chord progression of 1 4 5 1 on a Push 2 in a major scale,
follow these instructions:
1/
Play all of the chords in order in full shape. Start by selecting the major scale on the Push 2, and then play the first chord (1), followed by the fourth chord (4), the fifth chord (5), and finally the first chord (1) again.
2/
Play the chords in a simple arpeggio, just once. This means playing each note of the chord separately, rather than all at once. Practice the movement between the chords by moving your hand from one chord shape to the next.
3/
Play the chords in an arpeggio as the notes repeat back and forth in a classic chord arpeggio exercise legato. This means playing the notes smoothly and connected, rather than with a staccato (separated) touch.
4/
Play the chords in an arpeggio, but this time do it in a staccato style. This means playing each note of the chord separately, with a sharp, detached touch.
5/
Play the chords in an expanded way, starting with the first note of the chord and then skipping the next note to play the third note. Repeat this pattern for each chord.
6/
Play the same expanded chord progression, but this time in an arpeggio that goes up. Start on the lowest note of each chord and play each note of the chord in ascending order.
7/
Play the same expanded chord progression, but this time in an arpeggio that goes up and down. Start on the lowest note of each chord, play each note of the chord in ascending order, and then play each note in descending order.
8/
Play the bass note of each chord with your left hand, and on your right hand, play the inversion of the chord. Go through all 3 inversions for each chord. This means playing the chord with the root note in the bass, the third in the bass, and the fifth in the bass.

This chord progression exercise on your Push 2 is a great way to practice different chord
progressions and become familiar with the shapes of the chords.

As you work through the different exercises, you will develop muscle memory and improve your ability to play chords smoothly and fluidly.

This will also help you get better at improvising music with the Push 2, as you will have a stronger foundation in chord shapes and progressions. So don't be afraid to experiment and try out different chord progressions as you practice with the Push 2.

The more you play and get comfortable with different chord shapes and progressions, the more confident and skilled you will become as a musician.

To get the most out of your chord progression practice on the Push 2, it is important to give each chord progression time to sink in and become familiar.
Try practicing each chord progression for at least a week before moving on to the next one. This will give you the opportunity to really get comfortable with the shapes of the chords and the movement between them. It will also help you develop muscle memory and improve your accuracy and speed as you play. As you work through different chord progressions, pay attention to any areas where you struggle or feel uncertain, and spend extra time focusing on those areas. With consistent practice and repetition, you will gradually become more proficient and confident in your chord playing.

This exercise will help you improve your ability to play chords smoothly, as well as give you practice in moving between different chord shapes.
