Nazaneen, اغدا القاك - ام كلثوم 'Aghadan Alkaq' at JamBallah NW '17
2017 instructor Nazaneen performs at the JamBallah Showcase, at the Artist's Repertory Theatre in Portland, OR. She's Seattle's very own quinta-lingual bellydancing intellectual, with PhDs in chemical engineering and cancer biology. While her muggle self is a proud nerd and scientist, her approach to dancing is all about feeling - feeling the music and vibrant roots of this dance - to connect with her audience and share the joy of this culture. The song "Aghadan Alkaq" by Oum Kolthoum is about the sweet anticipation of seeing your lover again, and she hopes that it will bring you as much joy to watch as it does for her to dance to.
