HW/SW co-design has become extremely relevant in today's Embedded Systems. Modern embedded systems consist of software and dedicated hardware components that interact with each other to fulfill their tasks. During the development of such heterogeneous systems, both hardware and software have to be designed jointly, resulting in the discipline of hardware/software co-design.

In this video, I have discussed the fundamental concepts of Hardware/Software Co-design. If you have any version of Zynq boards, then understanding the hardware and software design is very important.

I have further explained the concept of Hardware and Software Partitioning and how to approach the HW/SW Co-design goals and What factors do one has to take into account while designing HW/SW designs.
