Blender 3.2 - bunch points on a line, depending on their proximity to an empty (Geometry nodes)

From the Blender forum:

"Explanation of how any scale operation works → because scaling is always relative to (0,0,0), to scale about some arbitrary point, you need to (1.) do an inverse translation (i.e. subtraction) to the point you want to scale stuff from, (2.) scale it (note the inverse translation puts things at (0,0,0), which is why you need to do the previous step), (3.) translate it back (i.e. addition)."

NOTE: something was up with my mic audio on this one, not sure what happened there!
