Hey everyone welcome back! Today I'm going to be showing the process of making a vintage-style light-up sign that replicates the old neon signs and fluorescent signs of the past. To make this happened, I combined the use of a CNC machine, LED lights, and a few other easy methods for beginners that are new to CNCs and woodworking.
The design itself was done in Adobe Illustrator but you can use any vector-based program you're comfortable with. If you're using a CNC, Vetric V Carve is a great product to use because it also writes the code necessary for the CNC machine to read.
I used the Stepcraft D840 CNC machine to do the carving but again, hand-cutting is another great option. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or need assistance making your own! Looking forward to hearing your feedback.
