Wow! Large, flickering, colorful, simple, dark - when we visited the Julia Stoschek Collection for the first time, we were overwhelmed. A constantly changing world of video art! Projected onto large screens with projectors or on small TVs. Experimental, different. All in an old, impressive industrial building from 1907. The Julia Stoschek Collection is definitely one of the insider tips for Düsseldorf. However, only if you are not familiar with the art scene anyway. Because Julia Stoschek has long made a name for herself as an art collector beyond the borders of Duesseldorf. And not just because she has a second showroom in Berlin.

What and when

The Julia Stoschek Collection - JSC for short - has a permanent exhibition and also constantly changing artists. You can find out what's on at the JSC website: www.jsc.art/exhibitions/
The JSC is always open on Sundays from 11am to 6pm. There are rearrangement phases in summer, so make sure to check beforehand whether the JSC is really open.

For whom is the visit worthwhile?

For everyone interested in art - especially for those who love video art. If you are in Duesseldorf for a long weekend, you should save around two hours on Sunday. The JSC is in Duesseldorf-Oberkassel - a noble district with many houses from the Wilhelminian era. It is not far from here to Alter Bahnhof on Belsenplatz, a typical Duesseldorf brewery. Two train stations further - at Luegplatz - you can get out, walk along the Rhine and have a good view of Duesseldorf's old town.

Accessibility

The JSC Duesseldorf is suitable for visiting with a wheelchair. There is an elevator between the exhibition floors that can be used when accompanied by the service staff.

Videoguide Düsseldorf:

On our channel we present the Top Sightseeing Spots and Top Events in Dusseldorf. These are both, the tourist highlights, which you should not be missing in any city tour or city trip, but also the small hidden insider tips that only the locals know. We show urban art, museums, architecture, street partys, parks, Shopping opportunities and monuments. We show you where there are concerts, and where are the best sports events. We show what is worth seeing in Dusseldorf. With videos, it is much easier to see whether a sight is really worth a visit, or rather not. We refrain from restaurant tips, as there are already many food blogs about Dusseldorf. And, to be honest, we have so many good restaurants, bars and cafes in Düsseldorf - even as locals we would not know where to start. Fact is: If you come to Germany, come to Duesseldorf. If you visit Duesseldorf, visit the Videoguide ;-)

There is much more on our website www.videoguide-duesseldorf.de:

There are filters on the homepage: "What month am I in Düsseldorf?", "When do I have time?", "What interests do I have?" This means that only the videos are displayed whose events are currently taking place, whose sights are open and which are really relevant for the tourist.
