Application of Symmetry to Continuous beam System on Ansys
When I first encounter the concept of symmetry in a text book, I did not understand what the author was doing. He analyzed a full span truss system by considering just half section of the problem. I guess this is the same for many of us.
In today's video I explain the concept of symmetry for solving continuous beam problem. You can apply this knowledge for either manual calculation procedure or when you are using any structural engineering programs. I used the ANSYS program to explain this concept.
ANSYS is a finite element software and main aim is to explain finite element analysis by using computer programs.
