The Chamber Orchestra of Ithaca Talent Education performs "Suite for String Orchestra" by Robert Paterson (b. 1970) under the direction of Kirsten Marshall at the ITE Spring Concert. Ford Hall, Ithaca College, on 11 June, 2016.
Born in 1970, Paterson was raised in Buffalo, New York, the son of a sculptor and a painter. Although his first love was percussion, he soon discovered a passion for composition, writing his first piece at the age of thirteen. Since then he has written over eighty works to date, and has received accolades and won awards for his works in virtually every classical genre.
