Harvesting the Luffa Plant
A lot of people think luffas / loofas grow in the sea, probably because of their similarity in look and purpose of the humble sponge!
As you can see, luffas in fact grow on vines and love hot weather. These grew in the Australian summer and we are still harvesting them in April, well into Autumn!
I hope you enjoy watching the process of them being harvested and prepared for use in the home. I give them away with my soaps and also use them to scrub my shower tiles!
