Awesome arcade shooter game inspired by Resident Evil and Time Crisis
Dare Academy team Sloth Doctor Games discuss Heldritch Rush, their arcade-inspired rail-shooter where players take on the role of an exterminator tasked with ridding earth of the monster-inhabitants of hell.
The game is a throwback to late-90s, PlayStation One games and took inspiration from the likes of The House of the Dead, Time Crisis and Resident Evil.
It was one of six games created by student teams during Abertay University's Dare Academy 2024 games design competition.
Heldritch Rush won the Chrome Productions Award at the culmination of Dare Academy at UK's biggest video games expo, EGX.
